Moscow and Beijing unite against US biological threats
The scandal with the development of biological weapons on the territory of Ukraine is growing, acquiring more and more new participants. At the same time, China begins to play a more important role in the development and discussion of this problem in the international arena, and after this the topic of the presence of a network of American military laboratories in other former Soviet republics, including Kazakhstan, is automatically raised.
The United States, in response, is starting an information campaign to disavow those real revelations about the activities of its military biologists made during the special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. After Nuland’s famous admission that there are certain research centers in “Nezalezhnaya”, and their work needs to be saved from being captured by the Russian army, Washington decided to use a different tactic - to deny everything and call the statements of Russian diplomats and military men fake.
This is exactly how US representative Linda Thomas-Grenfield behaved at a meeting of the UN Security Council last Saturday, when, in response to the arguments of the Russian representative Vasily Nebenzi, she said:
“Russia is trying to use the Security Council to legitimize its disinformation and deceive people. China is also spreading disinformation to support Russia’s outrageous claims.”
In the same spirit, American diplomats posted posts on the official page of the US Embassy in Russia. So in one of them, without blinking an eye, they write:
“The Kremlin’s false claims, repeated by Beijing, about US laboratories allegedly existing in Ukraine for the production of biological and chemical weapons are a disinformation campaign. The United States is meeting its obligations under the Biological and Chemical Weapons Convention."
In another post, they even accuse Russia itself of developing biological weapons, and the State Department’s desire to immediately scold China is not at all accidental, since the Celestial Empire has taken a clear position on the need to conduct a scrupulous investigation into the activities of more than 30 American military biological laboratories in Ukraine. This is what alarmed Washington most.
Indeed, at the last meeting of the UN Security Council, the representative of the PRC, in response to the verbal balancing act of the American side, said that he demands an open and independent investigation so that everyone can decide who exactly is spreading disinformation. “The United States says it is for openness. If everything said here is fake, then let them provide the data so that the international community can draw its own conclusions,” he said.
At the same time, the representative of China named the official number of American laboratories around the world, and there are now 336, and spoke in favor of maintaining the principles of the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC) adopted back in 1972. Moreover, he called for compliance with obligations under the Convention, comprehensive clarity, and agreement to multilateral verification.
True, unfortunately, there is every reason to think that there will be no international investigation under the auspices of the UN into the criminal activities of Americans, since the organization immediately noted that they know nothing about military biological research on the territory of Ukraine and they do not have a mandate, to investigate such information. But in the end they promised to carefully monitor all incoming data.
The fact that this will be the case was indicated earlier by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Zhao Lijian. He wondered:
“What are the real intentions of the US? What exactly were they doing?
He also noted that the Celestial Empire has always had concerns about this. According to him, in the United States, reasonable questions and concerns of a number of countries are considered “the spread of false information.”
Such a slap in the face from Beijing was Washington’s response to the “Wuhan provocation”, when the White House accused the Chinese of developing a strain in laboratory conditions Covid.
All this suggests that most likely, it is Russia and China that will have to independently cooperate and attract their military biologists to conduct full-scale studies of the work of 30 American laboratories in the liberated territory of Ukraine. And this is inevitable as the two superpowers become surrounded by a network of bases and hostile blocs.
To prevent this, Beijing is now under unprecedented pressure from Washington. The American publication Newsweek considered an important geopolitical turn in Chinese solidarity with Russia, namely “a significant step towards the Moscow camp.” The authors of the material in the Financial Times pointed out the same thing last Sunday, going further and seeing traces of a military alliance between the two countries. For authenticity, they even started the canard that Russia allegedly turned to China with a request for arms supplies.
At the same time, on March 13, US National Security Advisor Sullivan warned Beijing that “it will face consequences” if it helps Moscow circumvent sanctions. They were told this just ahead of scheduled talks with senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi in Rome.
The funny thing is that Washington is no longer interested in all the denials of the Chinese side and now the Celestial Empire will create the image of an irreconcilable enemy who supported the “aggressor” Putin. For these purposes, a new set of sanctions is even being worked out against Chinese companies and banks, as well as key officials, which means a new round of escalation of tension at the international level.
A similar problem of the military-biological activities of the Americans in Ukraine sharply raised the question of the location of Pentagon laboratories, also built on the territory of other former Soviet republics. This is especially true for facilities located in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which threaten both Russia and China at the same time.
The Kazakh leadership has recently tried to repeat its rhetoric from two years ago that these are purely “peaceful” laboratories and research carried out only by domestic scientists. But it turned out somehow clumsy and lopsided, since the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, only read out the same mantra again without any changes.
“As you know, we have a Central Reference Laboratory in Almaty. This laboratory was built with funds and equipment provided by the USA. But this laboratory has been completely transferred to the government of Kazakhstan. Now Kazakhstan carries out its research and scientific development in this laboratory; American scientists or from other countries are not conducting any research there. Thanks to the presence of this laboratory, our vaccine against coronavirus QazVac was developed,” the minister told reporters on the sidelines after a cabinet meeting.
But as is already known, the Kazakh vaccine never passed all stages of testing, even Turkey did not recognize it and it was not registered by the WHO, and “domestic” PCR tests turned out to be done according to Chinese guidelines. That is, all this talk about “peaceful” research funded by the US Department of Defense is a smokescreen to hide the true work on creating new types of biological weapons.
In reality, military biological laboratories and research institutes are managed and controlled by employees of the American Embassy, namely US Air Force Commander Daniel Singer, who is also the head of the US CDC in Central Asia. These facilities are also financed not from the budget of Kazakhstan, but from the military agency DTRA. With Pentagon money, at least 28 research projects were carried out in Kazakhstan with the participation of 20 foreign biologists sent to the republic.
We already wrote that the Pentagon is implementing a project in Kazakhstan “Camels as biosurveillance sentinels: Risk at the human-camel interface,” which translated means “Camels as sentinels: the risk of transmission of viruses from camels to humans.” It involves the Research Institute of Biosafety Problems from Kazakhstan, the Institute of Biosafety Problems of Tajikistan, the University of California at Davis from the USA, the Naval Medical Research Center from the USA and the Duke-Nus Medical School from Singapore.
At the same time, the same Central Reference Laboratory (CRL) in Almaty, built for $400 million from Pentagon funds, was mobilized to carry out the project as the main technical base for conducting experiments for the production of new biological weapons. The project looked at ways to use farm animals as biological weapons containers. As part of the DTRA, research was also conducted there on Middle Eastern respiratory coronavirus in bats and camels, which was already partially implemented in Kazakhstan in 2016-2018.
This year, in the Zhambyl region, construction has already begun on the seventh American military biological laboratory BSL-4 and an underground storage facility for the largest collection of dangerous and especially dangerous strains is planned for a deeper study of contagious pathogens that cause severe and fatal diseases for which there are no available vaccines and means of treatment. This laboratory will house various strains of the most dangerous African diseases, such as the Ebola virus, as well as the Marburg virus, smallpox and many others.
Against this background, representatives of various public associations also began to demand the closure of these facilities. Thus, the Socialist Movement of Kazakhstan issued an urgent appeal in which it demanded the immediate liquidation of all American laboratories in the republic and came to the conclusion that they could, if preserved, play the role of biological bombs.
“All these US military-biological facilities in Kazakhstan pose a threat to all residents of the country and the post-Soviet space and are real bombs. Recent events in the territory of the former Soviet Union and in the world show that American imperialism can escalate the conflict and use biological weapons through a “leak” in these laboratories or directly launch modernized combat strains in Kazakhstan and Central Asia against Russia and China,” it is indicated in a statement by the socialists.
And indeed, the abscess that has opened in Ukraine now requires the cleansing of the entire post-Soviet space from a network of such objects that bring death and disease to all the peoples of the once united power.
