Participants wrote the hashtag “#FreeSavchenko” on the posters and attached the sheets to the embassy fence. They also held signs reading “Russia, give us back Living Hope!” Her mother is waiting for her. You can’t understand Russia with your mind...", "Freedom for Ukraine! Freedom to Hope! Moscow doesn’t believe in tears, Moscow thirsts for blood,” “74 days of hunger.”
“Russia is showing aggression against our country, it annexed Crimea, but at the same time it declares that it has nothing to do with this, that in fact it is not the country that supplies terrorists and weapons to the east. But we know that it is the Russian Federation that commits crimes against Ukraine. The action we are holding is dedicated to our heroine Nadezhda Savchenko. She was illegally detained by Russian terrorist groups, taken abroad, is in prison and has been on hunger strike for 74 days. This is a protest against a crime that is happening on the territory of Ukraine.
We believe that Nadezhda Savchenko, who is a people's deputy of Ukraine and a member of PACE, should be released from behind bars. She has the immunities and privileges corresponding to these positions. Unfortunately, all these arguments remain without any response from the Russian leadership, because Putin, the main terrorist, ordered the detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war, including Nadezhda Savchenko,” said Ivan, People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the Batkivshchyna VO, in his speech Krulko.
The former head of the Kyiv City State Administration, deputy of the Kyiv City Council Vladimir Bondarenko also addressed the audience. At the end of the action, Ivan Krulko presented the “List of Hope,” which included people who, according to activists, were involved in the detention of Nadezhda Savchenko. He said that the list will be widely distributed, and, in particular, will be transferred to the US State Department.
