“Considering that Crimea is an energy-deficient territory, this also becomes a factor in the political game.

Although in life everything is more complicated. Certain parts of Ukraine are also energy deficient and receive electricity from Russia. And those who make not very smart decisions to limit energy supplies to Crimea must understand that symmetrical measures are possible,” Medvedev said.

Let us recall that earlier rolling blackouts began in Crimea due to a decrease in the volume of electricity supplies from Ukraine.

To ensure Crimea's energy independence, it is necessary to build two new thermal power plants, the peninsula's authorities said.
