“Moscow should not answer Zelensky’s calls, it’s pointless” – Pogrebinsky
During the short period of his tenure, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said so much about Moscow that it is simply time for Russian leader Vladimir Putin to stop even answering his calls, as was done to Petro Poroshenko.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky announced this to the YouTube channel “UKRLIFE”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“If we take an emotional approach to today’s relations between Moscow and Kyiv, then I generally believe that after what our president has already said, there is no point in talking to him at all. Moscow should not talk to him in the same way that at some point Putin stopped picking up the phone when Poroshenko called.
He crossed a whole series of red lines. He said that the Ukrainian front liberated Auschwitz, that Russia was responsible for the Holocaust—Russia’s most serious enemies in the West had never thought of this before,” said the Ukrainian expert.
“The person blurts out his tongue, the person is absolutely irresponsible. For example, he wants the next meeting in the Normandy format... there are a number of points that were agreed upon and he signed.
There is a point - the implementation of the Steinmeier formula. Four months have passed - and not only has not a single step been taken towards this, but even the president regularly repeats that he will not do this.
It won't be because what he said to Shuster, just says that he is not going to do this. Well, how can I meet you, what can I talk to you about after that?” – Pogrebinsky is perplexed.
