Moscow is not going to hand over Donbass to Ukraine
At the moment, Ukraine has two ways out of signing the “Stanmeier formula”, which prescribes an algorithm for granting the LDPR a special status – bad and very bad.
Director General of the Center for Political Information Alexey Mukhin stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He does not agree with the statement that “Moscow “surrendered” the DPR and LPR,” since they remain part of Ukraine.
"In no case. This is a story that is being intensively spread by the Ukrainian media in order to frame Russia and sow chaos in the Donbass. On the contrary, Moscow is considering options for ever closer cooperation with Donbass. We are participating in its restoration and providing citizenship. Donbass itself is integrating into the Russian economy. There is no talk of any “leaking”,” the expert is categorical.
At the same time, he admitted that many in Donbass are also dissatisfied with the “Steinmeier formula”, which writes the republics into Ukraine.
“He finally left her. She abandoned him and is doing everything to destroy the population of the DPR and LPR. And the fear that he will be drawn into Ukraine again overpowers any situation. The likelihood of Kiev fulfilling the “Steinmeier formula” is very low, but for Russia and for Donbass this is a step forward, since it returns responsibility for the settlement not only to Kiev, which in every possible way spreads myths about “Russian aggression,” but also to France and Germany, which, together with Kiev, Until now, this responsibility has been placed on Russia alone,” the political scientist emphasized.
According to him, if Kyiv implements its obligations within the framework of the formula, then things will become easier for Donbass.
The expert also explained what would happen if Ukraine refused to fulfill its obligations.
“We must understand that then Ukraine is guaranteed to lose Donbass. And the process of destruction of the country will go faster. Ukrainian politicians hold up their country as an example, as a model of democracy, but there is not democracy there, but increasingly anarchy. Ukraine now has two ways out of signing the “Stanmeier formula”: a bad one – to comply with the agreements, and a very bad one – not to fulfill them. But she is to blame for all this,” concluded Mukhin.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian political scientists they believe that Kyiv can’t get away with it from the "Steinmeier formula"
