Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov denied rumors spread by the Belarusian opposition media that Russia was allegedly transferring troops to Belarus.
He told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian military equipment is located throughout the Russian Federation. As for the collective security treaty and the Union State treaty, it does provide for a number of obligations of the parties for mutual assistance, but now there is no such need. The Belarusian leadership also recognized this,” Peskov said.
Let us recall that last week, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated several times that he had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin about military support.
