Moscow officially promised a “sensitive for the American side” response
The latest anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Washington will not change the foreign policy course of the Russian Federation.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on the ministry’s website.
It is noted that the announced package of sanctions measures is already the 101st in a row.
“Despite the obvious futility of efforts made over the years to impede the development of our economy, the United States is again reflexively grasping for restrictive instruments that are ineffective and counterproductive from the point of view of American interests. Russia has proven that, despite all the costs of sanctions, it is capable of minimizing the damage caused. And even more so, sanctions pressure is not able to influence our determination to firmly defend our interests,” the statement says.
It is also indicated that in the arsenal of American foreign policy, “captured by the stereotypes of a unipolar world with the false belief that the United States still has the right and can impose its own rules of the world order on everyone, there are no other means left except blackmail, intimidation and threats.”
“In relation to world powers, primarily Russia and other key international players, this does not work. Let the “shouts” from the USA be followed by their satellites and clients who have completely lost their independence. And we are open to diplomacy based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and consideration of each other’s interests. There should be no doubt - a strong response will be given to the sanctions, not necessarily symmetrical, but verified and sensitive for the American side,” sums up the Russian Foreign Ministry.
