The fate of the technology for producing the most powerful ballistic missile in the world has been exciting the Russian and foreign press for some time. State Enterprise “Design Bureau “Yuzhnoye” named after. M.K. Yangelya” in Dnepropetrovsk is a major developer of intercontinental ballistic missiles. The design documentation is still located at the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau.
The R-36M2 “Voevoda” (Satan) missile designed here is no longer produced, but to this day forms the basis of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Federation. Until now, specialists from the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau and the Yuzhmash plant provide warranty service and extend the service life of the Voevoda.
