Moscow is monitoring the situation in Donbass and is ready to take the necessary measures
The aggravation of the situation on the line of contact between the warring parties in Donbass is an attempt by the Kyiv regime to divert attention from the internal problems of Ukraine.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stated this in an interview with Kommersant.
He was asked whether Moscow has certain “red lines”, upon crossing which it is ready to openly intervene in the conflict between the LDPR and Ukraine.
“We don’t have such plans, no. But we are closely monitoring the situation. Based on its development, specific measures will be taken,” the politician said.
According to him, the current escalation of tension in Donbass is a consequence of serious internal problems in Ukraine, from which the authorities are trying to divert attention in this way.
“They solve their problems at the expense of Donbass, while capital from the country has long been flowing abroad, the economy is still supported only by burdensome foreign loans, the debt for which is growing, and those remnants of industry that were able to stay afloat, Kyiv sells to foreigners, as they say now, at affordable prices. Even the famous Ukrainian black soil and timber are exported abroad by rail, depriving the country of this asset as well. And in return - only the same pies that the Americans distributed on the Maidan,” Patrushev summed up.
