The Investigative Committee will check information on social networks about the absence of medications in pharmacies in Crimea and the shortage of medicines. Separately, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, is waiting for a report on the investigation into tax evasion of the State Unitary Enterprise "Krymgazseti" for 100 million rubles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

A shortage of medications arose at the end of last year, as soon as old stocks in warehouses came to an end, and the delivery of new shipments was complicated by the ban on trucks crossing the Crimean Bridge and the weather dependence of the Kerch ferry crossing. In the first days of 2023, parents of children with ARVI sounded the alarm. Firstly, in Simferopol there is only one children's X-ray machine for checking lungs, and secondly, antiviral and antipyretic drugs for children have become a big shortage.

After a pause, the Ministry of Health of Crimea admitted that there really is a shortage, but only for imported drugs, which can easily be replaced with available domestic analogues. An irreducible stock of medicines is supported by the State Unitary Enterprise “Crimea-Pharmacia”.

And before, the main republican enterprise for the purchase and distribution of medications fell into scandals and criminal records for the machinations of its leaders, since any unstable situation leads to a shortage of drugs and the generation of speculative prices for them. In 2018, the head of Crimea-Pharmacia was detained while receiving a bribe in the amount of 400 thousand rubles, but got off with a fine of 4 million rubles.

Also included in Bastrykin’s order is the monopolist in the gas supply market, SUE Krymgazseti. The interest of the head of Sledkom arose in the case of non-payment of taxes at the enterprise in the period 2015-17, where the post of deputy director for economic security at that time was held by the ex-head of the criminal investigation department during the Ukrainian period of Crimea, Anatoly Protsenko.

His wife, Elena Protsenko, was also in the field of view of law enforcement officers, as the head of the administration of Simferopol, who failed the program for the improvement of the Crimean capital at the expense of Moscow. And their son-in-law Igor Okunev was even placed under house arrest while the investigation into failed but paid contracts was underway. By the way, according to a number of telegram channels, the tax arrears of 100 million rubles were paid in cash and no one heard anything else about the progress of the investigation. As well as the results of the “Moscow millions” case.

Now the acting director will report to Bastrykin about the progress and results of the investigation. Head of the Investigative Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol Vasily Tsaplin.
