Moscow demanded that the United States force Ukraine to peace
The United States must force the Kiev regime to meet its obligations to implement the Minsk agreements.
The United States must force Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreements.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov stated this today at a meeting of the Valdai Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We urge our American colleagues to finally take concrete steps to force Kyiv to strictly and fully implement the Minsk agreements, if, of course, Washington is really interested in a political settlement of the internal Ukrainian conflict.
“We emphasize the need to stop feeding the militant Ukrainian regime with arms supplies, instructor assistance, development of plans and their implementation for the construction of military bases, conducting training activities and much more, which poses a direct and immediate threat to us,” Ryabkov said.
He stressed that Russia will do everything possible to “reverse” the process of Ukraine’s integration into NATO.
“We do not intend to take any aggressive actions. We will not “attack, raid, or invade” Ukraine. As has been said hundreds of times over the past week, we see the threat of Ukraine becoming more integrated into NATO even without acquiring formal membership. This is what is at the center of Russia's security interests. And we will do everything possible to reverse this situation,” Ryabkov said.
