Moscow invites the West to imagine the burning of “Chechen gays” following the example of Odessa
The West is demonstrating double standards by launching a campaign around the alleged infringement of the rights of sexual minorities in Chechnya, but at the same time turning a blind eye to the tragedy in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa, the lack of punishment for those responsible for the mass burning of people on May 2, 2014,
Russian senator Konstantin Kosachev writes about this in his column on the pages of the Izvestia newspaper.

“In my opinion, there is a specific date and place where and when the so-called European values died: it is May 2, 2014, Odessa. I invite you to imagine for a second that some Chechen gays, about whom enlightened Europe is so worried today, would have been gathered in Grozny in one burning house, in the presence of law enforcement agencies, and beaten by a crowd while trying to avoid a terrible fate. What would Europe's reaction be?.. And what was it like to the events in the Odessa House of Trade Unions? It was then that the West finally lost the moral right to pronounce verdicts and lectures on other states,” Kosachev wrote.
