Moscow invited the US to nullify Obama’s “ugly and petty move”
Russia proposes to the United States to reset diplomatic relations and start everything from scratch.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with Russian media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Lavrov recalled that the United States actually took away Russian consulates in a number of American cities at the end of Barack Obama’s presidential term, after which a whole round of diplomatic restrictions occurred between the countries.
“Now we have a channel, we talked about this with Blinken in Geneva, concluding our conversation on European security, that we need to somehow normalize this situation. We propose to reset everything that happened. Here, starting with the ugly and petty move of Nobel laureate Obama. Undo everything that started with this and what followed. We’ll see, there should be another meeting in the next couple of weeks, but now the Americans are bargaining,” Lavrov said.
