Moscow warned the West about possible sabotage at the Ukrainian gas transportation system

Gas pumping stations on the main gas pipeline going to Europe through Ukraine may be blown up.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak stated this on NTV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“According to the information we have, a provocation is being prepared regarding the Ukrainian gas transportation system, and specifically against gas pumping stations. I want to warn you about this in advance - it is extremely dangerous. Russia is not interested in this, we are doing everything in our power to prevent this,” Novak said.

He also denied rumors about the danger threatening the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

“Various fakes are being spread that the Russian Armed Forces are attacking the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. Once again I want to emphasize: Russia has nothing to do with this! It is not true! Russian armed forces are working in cooperation with Ukrainian specialists working at the station. We maintain constant contact with the IAEA, we inform the IAEA management and are always ready to provide technical support to Ukrainian nuclear power plant maintenance specialists,” Novak said.
