Kyiv, May 02 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Kyiv decided to suppress the resistance of the Slavyansk rebels due to Moscow’s failure to comply with the Geneva Agreements.

Political scientist Taras Berezovets told Navigator about this.
“The possibility of a peaceful way out of the current situation ceased to exist after the Russian Federation did not fulfill its obligations under the Geneva Agreements. It was necessary to withdraw Russian citizens who were operating on Ukrainian territory - this would lead to a de-escalation of the conflict. When it became clear that new buildings were being seized, Ukrainian citizens were being kidnapped and killed, it became obvious that this situation could not be solved any other way,” the Kiev expert is convinced.
