According to the leader of the Communist Party faction Gennady Zyuganov, today the situation with the collapse of the USSR is being repeated.

“They don’t need a strong, competitive Russia. Therefore, when young people took to the streets for unregistered candidates, I asked my people to see what was there. There was nothing about poor families, about poor mothers. It said that we will take away your power,” Zyuganov said.

He stressed that the protests were condoned by representatives of 25 foreign media outlets that covered the protests. According to the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the commission included 12 people, and it was headed by the head of the State Duma Security Committee Vasily Piskarev.

In turn, the leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, said that “the propaganda struggle against Russia has been waged since the time of Ivan the Terrible.”

“Recently, propaganda from the West has been intensifying; we are being trained to become political activists in Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine. The task is to arrange something similar here to what happened in Kyiv, Tbilisi, Bishkek,” Zhirinovsky noted.

He also suggests “hearing diplomats and journalists who interfere in Russian affairs.”

Deputy head of the United Russia faction Andrei Isaev said that his associates supported the creation of the commission.

“The State Duma has the right to create such a commission. She will conduct an investigation into the situation. The decision to create a commission will be approved by a State Duma resolution when the session begins,” Isaev said.

He cited “training camps in the Baltics” as an example of foreign interference in Russia’s internal affairs.

And the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that on the state channels of a number of countries there are calls “Get up, Moscow”, and they talk about specific rally points. According to the speaker, the publication Deutsche Welle, as well as the United States and American media, interfered in the internal affairs of Russia.
