Moscow demands that Moldova restore the desecrated monument to Pushkin
The monument to Alexander Pushkin was desecrated in the Moldovan city of Falesti, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.
“Maybe someone has forgotten, a lot is connected with his life and creativity in Moldova. It’s difficult to understand what Pushkin didn’t like,” Zakharova said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns this fact of vandalism and calls on the Moldovan authorities, “who verbally support the development of relations with Russia,” to conduct a thorough investigation and restore the monument.
“It is gratifying to note that what happened has already caused a strong reaction from public organizations and the vast majority of Moldovan citizens,” Zakharova added.
