Moscow once again threatened Lithuania with a “sensitive response” for Kaliningrad
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko called Lithuania's ban on the transit of Russian goods to Kaliningrad "extreme recklessness, unacceptable in international relations."
She stated this today at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The response to Lithuania must be sensitive. Such measures are being developed, but for obvious reasons I will not voice them. We warned Lithuania and the EU about possible measures and hope that reason will prevail and political and legal solutions will be found that will not interfere with the transportation of goods to Kaliningrad.
We would not want this situation to develop into a serious confrontation. But if such measures are not taken without delay, we will be forced to respond more sensitively,” Matvienko said.
