Moscow is able to show Germany the real “hand of the Kremlin”
If the “hand of the Kremlin” really interfered in the internal politics of Western countries (as the European and American media claim), then, for example, in Germany the number of Bundestag deputies from among people from the ex-USSR would be ten times greater.
Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko spoke about this at a meeting of the Russian Association of Political Consultants in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Germany, approximately 80 million inhabitants – up to 5 million – are our compatriots, who often already have German passports.
When we followed the latest Bundestag elections, we came to a surprising conclusion: if we count the number of Russian voters who have the right to vote in Germany and divide this number by the number of parliamentary mandates, we get a figure in excess of 20 Bundestag mandates.
If there existed that very “hand of the Kremlin” that would interfere in various elections, if there was this desire, if someone was seriously involved in this and invested money, then today there would be from 20 to 30 Russian deputies in the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany who would simply vote there with a whistle - but this is not the case, but there are voters,” the expert noted.
According to Bondarenko, there are now only two deputies in the Bundestag who come from the former Soviet Union.
“Currently in the current convocation of the Bundestag there are two deputies representing Russian Germans, and both of these deputies represent the Alternative for Germany party. This is a young man, 32 years old, Anton Friesen, who came from Kazakhstan in 1995, and a fairly authoritative missionary and preacher Waldemar Kücher, who represents the older generation,” the expert said.
