St. Petersburg writer and publicist German Sadulaev stated this in Simferopol, responding to journalists’ remarks about the presence in the Russian Federation of those who consider the return of Crimea to be at least a mistake.
“Do you mean the so-called intelligentsia? There are definitely no such sentiments among St. Petersburg writers,” the weekly “New Crimea” quotes the writer.
“I remember very well the sixteenth of March, the day of the Crimean referendum. That day I was accepted into the Writers' Union, and then my colleagues and I celebrated these two events. But in Moscow there is some kind of confusion, vacillation. They lack St. Petersburg’s imperial fundamentalism!” emphasized German Sadulaev.
