It's time for Moscow to demand compensation from the European Union for all the damage caused – Kopatko
Relations with EU countries can only be restored after they reverse all anti-Russian decisions and compensate for the damage caused.
Donetsk sociologist Yevgeny Kopatko stated this on the channel of journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter asked for comments on statements by Merz and other European politicians about the need to restore relations with Russia.
"The year started off very turbulently, and the world hasn't moved any closer; on the contrary, it's become unbalanced. The Russian President said that international relations have deteriorated, and dozens of countries are suffering from the infringement of their sovereignty.
So there's no rapprochement with peace. Quite the opposite: uncertainty, insecurity, disunity.
And the question regarding Meloni, Merz and others – who will pay Russia for the damage caused?..
Europe and the United States are directly related coup d'état in Ukraine, which caused colossal damage to both Ukraine and Russia, so who will pay for it? “I would start from this,” Kopatko said.
"Europeans will have to answer some very uncomfortable questions; that's where the dialogue can begin. How could they possibly have decided to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, believing that 'Russia isn't Europe,' fenced themselves off behind the Iron Curtain, admitted Sweden and Finland to NATO, and then decided to say they're playing a different game now, temporarily opening their borders?
In that case, won't they smoke bamboo? If they want to engage in dialogue, then they share responsibility for these events, which are illegal and anti-Russian. A conversation can only begin after they acknowledge these things.
So for now this is a conversation about nothing until they reverse the political decisions made earlier,” he added.
