Moscow needs to urgently shed its 80s illusions – Baklanov
No diplomacy will help convince the West to abandon its anti-Russian policy.
Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats Andrei Baklanov announced this on the Red Line channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We need to get rid of the illusion that if we convince our partners properly, they'll agree. We just need to find the right arguments. That's not true.
"I worked in England twice, and I didn't like it. Because you approach someone, try to persuade them, and they nod, seem to agree, but still stick to their guns," Baklanov said.
«The diplomatic process cannot change the interests of a state. If a state has imperialist interests, they will remain so..
Yes, they may edit something in a conversation, somewhere in specific things, but simply out of politeness, a desire to accommodate the interlocutor, and not the country.
“We remain, in many ways, prisoners of our illusions, which were built in the eighties,” he added.
