Bridge, Tavrida, power plants - that's not all: Moscow announced new projects in Crimea
Moscow is ready to consider extending the Federal Target Program for the restoration of Crimea after being part of Ukraine in order to implement new large-scale projects on the peninsula.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak at the Yalta Economic Forum. Reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Proposals should be formed in the fall, after which the government will make a decision on the implementation of new large-scale measures; a detailed study of financial possibilities is needed. And after it, perhaps we will extend the federal target program for the socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Kozak recalled that more than 70 facilities built within the framework of the Federal Target Program have already been put into operation, including a bridge across the Kerch Strait, a new airport in Simferopol, two thermal power plants, kindergartens, schools, etc.
“We can respond to the challenges associated with external restrictions by even more active work to create a favorable environment,” Kozak said.
