The language did not help: The persecution of the Opanasyuk sisters begins in Ukraine
In Kyiv, the persecution of sisters Anna and Maria Opanasyuk, daughters of the Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea, who are contenders for participation in the Eurovision Song Contest from Ukraine this year, begins. The reason was sensational interview with artists on the Majlis channel ATR, on the air of which former Crimean women demonstrated loyalty to Ukraine, spoke in language, however refused to support Bandera ideology, as demanded by presenter Roman Skrypin.
“These creatures are just Russian whores!” That's what a caller said about this duet on Skrypin's broadcast yesterday. Therefore, it is no longer possible to say better. That is, you can write, talk, argue, and convince a lot, but it’s all useless. These girls are adults and understand everything perfectly. Therefore, it is whores, and not victims of rape,” comments Ukrainian political scientist Alexei Golobutsky, who serves Petro Poroshenko’s headquarters.
On his blog, he published a collage with a photograph of the Opanasyuk sisters and signed it “Russian whores duet.”
“I, and I’m not the only one, probably want to know who included pro-Russian political prostitutes in the selection for Eurovision from Ukraine. After all, they knew everything about them before this broadcast, for a long time. Who are these people without intelligence, without honor, without conscience, without basic respect for their country, for which every day someone gives their life? The real culprits of this shame are not unprincipled creatures, as the viewer correctly called them on air. The organizers of the selection are to blame. If anyone knows, then I ask that the names of these people be made public. The country must know its moral monsters by sight. And we must demand the resignation of the Ukrainian Eurovision Committee in its entirety,” demands the Mejlis propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev, one of the leaders of ATR.
The Ukrainian TV channel “24” released a special investigative story, providing information about the income and property of the parents of the Opanasyuk sisters on the peninsula. “Both are respected people in Crimea, however, they support the occupiers,” the story says.
“Roman Skrypin is great. Well revealed the narrow-minded singer sisters... Daughters of two collaborating parents. Father is a judge. Mother is a representative of the Crimean occupation authorities... Do you remember the Victory Day concert at Inter last year? The rehearsal was leaked online. That's horrible. The presenters called the Ukrainians Nazis. And what? And nothing!" - Maidan activist Liza Bogutskaya, who fled from Crimea, is indignant.
