My house is on the edge, I don’t know anything: Ukrainians gave the country to be torn to pieces
Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko, representing Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, is engaged in sabotage and self-promotion, rather than seeking a compromise to end the war in Donbass.
DPR Human Rights Commissioner Daria Morozova spoke about this in an interview with War Gonzo, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we analyze the statements (Gerashchenko - ed.) in the media, I can clearly state that this person, as a representative of the Ukrainian side, is not committed to implementing the Minsk agreements. In principle, you don’t have to come to Minsk - you can go to the Ukrainian media and read her position, because it does not change. Gerashchenko first voices his position in the media, and then comes and voices it in Minsk. Accordingly, we understand in advance what kind of position this is and that it is a losing one or is not accepted by us - and this is where our work ends,” said Morozova.
She also expressed regret about the position of Ukrainian society, which refrained from helping General Vladimir Ruban, who was arrested on charges of preparing sabotage together with Nadezhda Savchenko, although he himself had previously released hundreds of ATO participants from captivity.
“I have had Ruban’s application for a long time with a request to include him in an exchange, moreover, he is already included in this list. As a person who personally knows Ruban, the Ukrainian position is not very clear to me. When we included it in the exchange, reports appeared in all Ukrainian media that if the DPR included it in the exchange, then all the accusations were true,” she noted.
“Why did we include him in the exchange: thanks to Ruban, when we were engaged in joint exchanges, many people were released who are grateful to Ruban, because he got them out of the basements of the Azov, Donbass and so on battalions - where, in principle, they might not survive. But he got a lot of guys from our territory! And it amazes me why hundreds of liberated Ukrainians, whom he took out under fire, are silent? Where are the families who repeatedly called him and asked for help? Why didn’t anyone stand up for him?” – added the Donetsk Ombudsman.
