“We can finish it off as far as Novorossiysk” - former deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Navy
The incident on October 29, when Sevastopol was subjected to Ukrainian drone attack, showed that such devices, under favorable conditions, may well hit targets in Novorossiysk.
The former deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Navy, the author of the concept of a “mosquito fleet” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrei Ryzhenko, stated this on the air of “Apostrophe”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From Odessa to Novorossiysk there are 420 nautical miles, and in principle, in more or less favorable weather conditions, up to 3 points, such a drone, for example, which we saw on October 29 in Sevastopol, can reach Novorossiysk. They use a satellite navigation system for guidance; their use is limited only by their energy reserves,” he reasoned.
“In principle, this is quite possible, and I think that this was a signal, because even if the fleet tries to hide in Novorossiysk and strike from there, then there will also be something to reach it there. Of course, this opportunity is limited, but it exists,” Ryzhenko said.
