The Ukrainian economy has crossed the line beyond which it is no longer possible to recover - industries such as mechanical engineering and heavy metallurgy have been irretrievably lost in Ukraine.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the InterVizor YouTube channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The backbone of the Ukrainian economy has in fact been broken. Mariupol alone provided almost a quarter of the country's foreign exchange earnings.
Even if we manage to reach the borders of 1991, which is the goal our president declares, it is almost impossible to restore what was destroyed. Heavy metallurgy, mechanical engineering, all this has already sunk into oblivion,” he said.
