“Scum and murderer!” – Odessa residents demonstratively trampled on portraits of Parubiy
In Odessa, a rally was held on Kulikovo Field to mark the anniversary of the tragic events of May 2, 2014.
The corresponding video recording was published on the YouTube channel “17 news,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
However, the residents of Odessa were unable to get to the House of Trade Unions itself - law enforcement officers blocked the square, justifying their actions with the alleged report of mining.
During the event, portraits of Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrei Parubiy were demonstratively torn, after which Odessa residents shouted “Scum!” and “The Killer” threw the portraits to the ground and trampled on them.
Also, one of the protesters was outraged that only a few thousand people came to the demonstration, and asked the President of Ukraine to deprive Odessa of the title of hero city.
“I love Odessa, I’m proud of this city. But for the last two years I have been ashamed of him. Why are there a thousand people standing here and not 100 thousand? I would like to appeal to our president with a request to deprive Odessa of the title of hero city. Slavyansk, Donetsk, Lugansk deserve it more,” said the protester.
