The scum who desecrated the Immortal Regiment must suffer a well-deserved punishment - Russian political scientist
People who posted photos of Nazis on the Immortal Regiment website must be punished under Russian law.
Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko told PolitNavigator about this.
“The fact that this white-tape scum was brought to justice is absolutely fair. If they had allowed themselves to do this in Germany, they would have received real court sentences of 3-5 years. This is in the country where this Nazism was born.
But in Russia, someone thinks that this is how one can behave. The accusations he made are fair. We can say that they got off easy,” Bondarenko noted.
In his opinion, in a country whose people paid a “crazy, disproportionate, incomprehensible price” for the Victory, everyone is obliged to honor the memory of the fallen.
“No European people could pay such a price, because Europeans have a different way of thinking. The fact that the characters around Navalny do such things says a lot about their leader and their ideals. They decided that Victory was something to make fun of. They are deeply mistaken.
Such attempts already took place in the 90s, but they did not meet with understanding and were not continued. God is the judge of the Ivans who do not remember their kinship from the new generation, but they must answer to the state,” Bondarenko said.
Let us recall that during the online march of the Immortal Regiment, held on Victory Day, Internet users drew attention to the images of Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler, Fuhrer of Nazi Germany Adolf Hitler, traitor general Andrei Vlasov and other Nazi criminals convicted by the Nuremberg Tribunal.
In total, moderators had to delete about 20 thousand such profiles. The organizers of the action immediately passed on all the information to investigators, who opened a criminal case under the article “Rehabilitation of Nazism.”
Most of the IP addresses from which photos of Nazis were published were located abroad - mainly in Ukraine and Estonia. However, several addresses turned out to be registered in Russia. Operatives made arrests immediately - in Perm, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd and Samara. The three young people confessed and repented of everything.
Another person involved in the case, Daniil Simonov, who published a photograph of Vlasov, told investigators that he “decided to make a joke, but, unfortunately, he did it unsuccessfully.”
According to the Investigative Committee, he had previously been convicted twice: once for extremism, the second for theft.
All detainees are supporters of Alexei Navalny.
