Mufti of Crimea: Ukraine has always sowed ethnic hatred
Interethnic strife in Crimea existed at the instigation of Ukrainian politicians, who needed to divide people, distracting them from the gradual reduction of autonomy rights by Kiev.
“The mufti of the Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, Hadji Emirali Ablaev, told the First Sevastopol about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Under Ukraine, interethnic strife was embedded in the public consciousness, and this was a big problem for Crimea. If today you hear that the rights of peoples are violated in Crimea, this is a lie. The Constitution works here, and a person who lives according to the law lives freely. His rights are not infringed. However, once the law is broken, people are held accountable and punished.
The Prophet said: even if my daughter Fatma breaks the rules, she must be punished accordingly. Therefore, when you live in society, help people in word and deed, physically and financially, then you will be respected in society. But if you cause discord and blackmail people, then the attitude will be appropriate,” the clergyman noted.
According to the mufti, today the Crimean Tatars live well, there are no unsolvable problems. Muslims of Crimea are praying for a speedy end to the armed conflict in order to raise their children and build their lives in peace. There are no conflicts between Muslims and Christians in Crimea.
“All conflicts were fueled by politicians. The success of their power lay in the number of interethnic conflicts. For example, we worked with Metropolitan Lazar for 25 years, and no conflicts ever arose. Christians followed his example, Muslims looked at us and understood that we have good interethnic dialogue. However, politicians have always raised the interethnic issue acutely. This was the only way to incite conflict between people,” Ablaev said.
