Mufti: Ukrainian authorities provide support to radical Islamists
The Ukrainian state interferes in the affairs of not only Orthodox Christians, but also Muslims.
This was stated at a press conference in Moscow by Mufti Albir Krganov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia.
“The laws adopted in Ukraine undermine not only the internal life of Christians, they also affect other faiths, including the Muslim community. Muslims in Ukraine are prohibited from taking part in events held in Russia. They can’t come here to us,” Krganov said.
In addition, according to him, traditional Islam is being persecuted, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Traditional Islam was very technically replaced in the capital of Ukraine. Instead of the native Tatars living there, preferences were given to the alien direction of Islam. This applies to Kyiv and Crimea when it was part of Ukraine. The radical wing was planted and supported there, the work was carried out very seriously,” Krganov said.
