Mufti told Parubiy about the threat of Ukraine turning into ISIS territory
The Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmed Tamim, at a meeting with the participation of Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy, condemned the practice of creating battalions on religious grounds and announced the threat of the spread of supporters of the terrorist organization ISIS in Ukraine.

Ahmed Tamim said that Muslims in Ukraine are now split - several Islamic spiritual centers are registered in the country. At the same time, the country's borders were opened to an influx of extremists.
“We would like that with the rise of freedom, democracy, etc. and, especially, during the Maidan and after the Maidan, they were more attentive - as deputies - on the issue of opening the way for representatives of extremist organizations, which always, both in the West and in the East, on the basis of laws, find an opportunity to spread their evil.
We, as the first spiritual administration of Muslims in Ukraine, saw that the state is working for the cohesion of faiths, but, on the other hand, there are already seven spiritual administrations of Muslims in Ukraine, and we are only 5% of the population. Islam is not a matter of nationality.
And the Kazan Tatars created their own spiritual administration, then they created the Party of Muslims of Ukraine, and as a result, this is already a muftiate registered in the DPR. Or the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, which was precisely for the Muslims of Crimea and created a split for local Muslims in Crimea... In addition, the Kiev Muftiate, which received the order from (the State Duma faction) “Our Home is Russia.”
We need to admit that an element of extremism is growing here, also based on the use of freedom and democracy. Those who cannot now register a religious legal entity register it as a public organization - an Islamic cultural center or another. We see that in every city they are growing like mushrooms...
We have taken a position against the politicization of religion. We are against any kind of battalions based on nationality or religion. The battalions are Ukrainian, the problems are Ukrainian, and the solution to the problems must also be Ukrainian.
Now there is interference of some diplomats in the problems of Islam in Ukraine. We wouldn’t want there to be a new so-called territory here. ISIS. We know what they are doing in other countries, and those countries that opened a corridor for them, we saw how they suffer,” the mufti said.
