The corresponding information was published on his personal website by the governor of the Transcarpathian region, Gennady Moskal, who was appointed to this position by the president after the Mukachevo massacre, which ended with an actual anti-terrorist operation on the border with the EU.

“The brutal shooting in Mukachevo, which became a challenge to the law enforcement system and the entire society, is just the tip of the iceberg in the activities of criminals,” says the head of the region. “In addition, for the purpose of profit, they kidnapped and tortured people, demanded money from entrepreneurs, took away property, using illegal firearms, including machine guns, machine guns and grenade launchers. In fact, it was a racket, banal money-making, and the worst thing is that everything was done under the guise of patriotic slogans.

The criminals called themselves defenders of Ukraine, although they came with weapons to “earn” money one and a half thousand kilometers from the front line, where hostilities had never taken place. The police already have a bunch of statements from victims who were previously afraid to officially contact law enforcement agencies or did not believe that the criminals would be brought to justice.”

At the same time, Gennady Moskal reported that the actions of representatives of the Transcarpathian “Right Sector” are qualified as banditry, and among the suspects are 13 people aged from 18 to 39 years, 12 of whom are Transcarpathian, and one is a resident of Slavyansk, still hiding in the forests .

“Criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 257 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – banditry (organization of an armed gang for the purpose of attacking enterprises, institutions, organizations or individuals, as well as participation in such a gang or in attacks committed by it), the governor added. “The article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment from 5 to 15 years with confiscation of property.”

Earlier, Gennady Moskal, referring to the local military commissar, said that Transcarpathian representatives of the PS cannot be called up for military service, since many of them have several criminal records.
