This is important news, in my opinion, which could go unnoticed - that’s why I’m focusing on it. Vladimir Putin ordered until March 15 to work out a reduction in the income tax rate and insurance premium rates for Russian organizations producing cartoons. In simple terms, in order not to get bogged down in unnecessary details, domestic cartoons will become more profitable to produce. Hooray!

Why do I see this as an extremely important step? The formation of a person begins from an early age. Yes, it’s a banality, but it requires clarification: everything happens before school. An already formed person gets into the first class. Yes, for reference.

And it’s good if books create it. After all, I insist that we owe the success of a number of generations, first of all, to, for example, our boys’ reading of the books of Jules Verne and, most importantly, Vladislav Krapivin. However, yes, I am aware that modern children are indifferent to the printed word. Give them videos and pictures. Moreover, all this is developing using methods that are absolutely creepy in their intensity and cynicism. How can we fight here when the video nonsense is getting younger, and Tik Tok rules the show for Satan?

However, cartoons are still interesting to modern children - and here we, parents, appear. It’s good if moms and dads monitor the content served to the baby. What if not? In addition, children's content today is especially toxic. After all, they are hooked on the needle of consumption from an early age: the earlier, the better. And therefore it would not hurt to filter cartoons. Meanwhile, for a long time, children absorbed Western pictures - that is, foreign ones. And this is a serious problem.

And the point here is not that foreign things are nothing but dirt and dirt, while ours are particularly clean, no. But still, Russian cartoons still carry the local mentality, no matter how hard the creators try to make them look like foreigners. And if Western content is shown on the screen, then there are corresponding meanings and connotations. The child matures as if in an alien environment. It is all the more important that it will become easier for us to produce our own cartoons. Besides, there are very worthy representatives of the genre.

However, another danger appears here. Will the increased financial gain lead to the production - churning out - of more cartoons that fail to meet even the minimum standards? We don't need ugly Peppa Pig clones or worse. We demand a new “Treasure Island”, “Kitten Woof”, “38 Parrots” and similar masterpieces! Yes, times have changed - well, give your children at least a product no worse than Luntik. Or here’s another hint - you can film the best. For example, I watched “Dunno on the Moon” with great pleasure with my children.

Yes, there are risks of fake and “cranberry” appearance among new domestic cartoons. We see this in Russian cinema. But there, as they say, it’s mainly adults who are brainwashing, and here – in the voice of Vasya from “Gentlemen of Fortune” – children. Therefore, for economic reasons, it would be good to create an authoritative commission - not only from filmmakers, but also from doctors, psychologists, etc. - who will watch cartoons before releasing them into, as they say, wide access.

Censorship? Not at all. Soviet legacy? What's wrong with that, exactly? Soviet cartoons are masterpieces, and thanks to them, as well as thanks to Krapivin’s books, we have a generation of winners. So far no one has come up with anything better than them. One fact: Russians named “Prostokvashino” (20%), “Well, Just Wait!” as their most favorite New Year’s cartoons. (16%), “Last year’s snow was falling” (7%).
