The story of the “heroes-intelligence officers” from the GRU is entering a new stage. In addition to numerous memes, a funny cartoon about Petrov and Boshirov, based on a poem that was circulating on the Internet a month ago, began to spread online.
Its plot is simple - it is the two heroes of the “Skripal case” who are responsible for all the problems of the West in the Russian direction. At the same time, since the appearance of the poem “It’s Putin’s fault” in 2014, the same poetic hit has hardly appeared on the RuNet.
What is characteristic is that an intelligence officer is not a comical profession at all. Perhaps, apart from the ridiculous Austin Powers and a couple of other, not very successful parodies of Bond, one can hardly remember truly popular and positive comic heroes from the special services. However, Western propaganda itself created the image of two guys who travel around the world and carry out Putin’s most important tasks. Apparently, in the coming years we will not know whether Petrov and Boshirov actually had anything to do with the special services, or, more likely, they were simply unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But we must admit that for the Russian special services this whole ridiculous PR campaign turned out to be very profitable. Petrov and Boshirov replaced Sudoplatov, who blew up the Ukrainian nationalist Konovalets with a box of chocolates, and Mercader, who hacked Trotsky to death with an ice pick. At the same time, the popularity of memes about scouts among the heroes is much higher. And the story with Novichok, who stubbornly fail to poison anyone to the end, is beginning to play on the image of Russia. The Russians, they say, do not poison anyone to death, they only frighten, but very effectively.
Moreover, the story of Pyotr Verzilov showed that representatives of the Russian opposition themselves dream of proving the fact of poisoning, because this raises their status among their peers and gives them the opportunity to undergo treatment for a week or two in the comfortable Berlin Charité clinic.
Appeared last night on one of the Russian telegram channels The cartoon was shot very professionally. Moreover, it has already appeared in amateur translation in Serbia and other countries. According to the channel administration, “grateful subscribers” sent it, and she is looking forward to the continuation. And, given the rapidly changing political situation, it will certainly happen. The question is, what will the elusive scouts do now? After all, they have a lot of tasks. And will the notorious “spiers”, which became memes during the “Skripal case”, appear in the new video?
