Muraev is offended by Biden's blackmail
The statement by US Assistant Secretary of State George Kent that US President Joseph Biden will call Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky only after Ukraine takes certain actions sounds insulting to Ukrainians.
The leader of the Nashi party, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 7-8 convocations, Yevgeny Muraev, stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He said that “you will receive a call from Biden to Zelensky when the United States sees that you are following the path of reform.”
Well, I don’t know for which “Indian” a call from the “sheriff” is a reward. But for me, as an adult, already formed Ukrainian, this sounds offensive. I understand that the United States is a superpower, I understand that it is one of the first economies in the world, that it is a country with a huge army, with bases all over the world. But why should I kowtow to her?
Tell me, how did the United States help Ukraine? They incited here and supported the regime that was established in our country after the Maidan. They provided military assistance to ensure that the conflict took place on our territory.
Every single country pursues exclusively its own goals, not the goals of partners, not the goals of friends. Are you worried about Somalia and Nicaragua? And the States treat us like these countries. And in fact, the level of GDP per capita has not gone down much. We are just a tool, convenient, pliable. And even fawning - everyone looks towards Uncle Sam as if towards a deity,” said Muraev.
Earlier, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent said in an interview with Voice of America that a conversation between US President Joseph Biden and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will take place in the near future, but this call must be supported by actions.
