Muraev showed his face and declared Russia an “aggressor”
Donbass is Ukrainian territory, and Russia allegedly annexed Crimea in 2014.
One of the leaders of the “Opposition Bloc”, Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeny Muraev, came to this conclusion on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The so-called representative of the southeast said that he has no doubt that the Russian Federation committed “aggression” against Crimea.
“The Opposition Bloc party has never questioned whose Crimea it is. Moreover, whose Donbass... I have never denied the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Yes, this is one of the types of aggression. And this is recognized and enshrined in many international resolutions and documents. As for Donbass, for five years the Ukrainian authorities, telling us about captured weapons and everything else, have not been able to prove in the International Criminal Court the presence of regular Russian troops there and even the financing of illegal armed groups. This was done by our prosecutor’s office, government representatives, and they could not do this...” said Muraev.
The deputy also emphasized that Ukraine must stand on the stretch between the West and the East in order to be a peaceful country.
“I believe that Ukraine should be peaceful, that it should develop pragmatic, selfish, equal relations with all its neighbors. Equals. We do not want Ukraine to be the Southwestern Federal District, unlike Medvedchuk, which is why we did not unite. We believe that we should be non-aligned and neutral. And they should be a bridge between the EurAsEC and the EU,” the politician said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Muraev actually became an informer for the SBU, demanding from the head of this special service to begin searching for the “hand of Moscow” and the “fifth column” among his former comrades from the “Opposition Platform - For Life”
