Playing the role of “oppositionist,” Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Muraev joined the chorus of Ukrainian politicians who continue to spread lies to voters about some theoretical possibility of returning Crimea to the control of Kyiv.

On the air of Hromadske Radio, Muraev announced his scenario for the peninsula, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The return of Crimea is the most difficult issue, and it will have to be resolved after the conflict in the East of Ukraine. We must clearly understand that for Russia Crimea is a strategic object. Not the people who live there and even the Black Sea shelf, but namely Crimea and the Black Sea, since this is a matter of the defense doctrine of the Russian Federation. As long as the form of government and politics that is governed from Moscow today exists, they will not talk about the return of this peninsula.

We do not have a military solution, since the budget of the Russian Ministry of Defense is much larger than the entire budget of Ukraine and, among other things, it is a nuclear country. I am sure that in a certain period of time a solution can be found here in a form in which we will not feel the difference whose de jure it is,” said the politician.

“The most important thing is to understand that not all citizens who live in Crimea will want to return to Ukraine. To a country that blew up electrical towers, set up a food blockade, and cut off water channels. And behind all this are representatives from Kyiv. Not a single criminal case was initiated, which means this is the official position of Ukraine,” added Muraev.

He also admitted that the standard of living in “occupied” Crimea is much higher than in Ukraine.
