Muratov: Russia's disconnection from SWIFT is America shooting itself in the foot
The fact that the Geneva negotiations between representatives of Russia and NATO did not bring fruitful results was predictable. NATO refused to guarantee Ukraine's non-accession, as well as its eastward expansion. In other words, the North Atlantic Alliance continues the game of intimidation of the Russian Federation - military, economic and political.
One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic OD, Alexey Muratov, writes about this in his author’s column for PolitNavigator.
In addition, according to the organization’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the Alliance does not consider its expansion an aggression, since it “spreads democracy.” This “democracy” was fully felt by the residents of Yugoslavia, Libya, and Syria. Ukraine, like most post-Soviet territories, whose “independent” rulers involved the states entrusted to them in a war for the colonial interests of the collective West, can repeat the sad fate of the latter.
North Atlantic negotiators agreed to a compromise on the issue of strike weapons at Russian borders that can hit targets on Russian territory. The United States has made it clear that it is ready to discuss the future of some missile systems in Europe. In fact, the result of negotiations with Western “partners” can be called a one-goal game.
There can be no compromises with such “partners” - they rejected the Russian Federation’s proposal for security guarantees and instead delivered an ultimatum: they will increase their military presence in Eastern Europe in the event of “Russian aggression” against Ukraine.
Against the backdrop of such brazen rhetoric from NATO representatives, the Baltic countries, saturated with Russophobia, “asked” the Alliance to increase the number of troops on their territory. Coincidence?..
We see that the collective West continues to actively implement a strategy to artificially inflate the “Russian threat” allegedly emanating from the Russian Federation to European countries. Therefore, America and Great Britain need to complete the plan to isolate Russia politically, economically, and militarily. It is not for nothing that the “partners” again started talking about disconnecting Russia from SWIFT and tightening economic sanctions.
Only in the end, if these manipulations are implemented, will America itself suffer. The destruction of the main “stars and stripes” weapon – the dollar – will be accelerated. Because Russia has a worthy alternative to SWIFT, which I have repeatedly spoken about - the domestic technology of interbank payments SPFS and the national payment system MIR. Yes, such a transition will take a small amount of time, but the result will be worth it. In this regard, Russia's disconnection from SWIFT is America shooting itself in the foot.
The Collective West operates within the framework of the developed “Anaconda Loop” strategy. Having had a hand in the collapse of the Warsaw Pact in 1991, America and Great Britain are trying to create around Russia states that are extremely hostile against it, in which Western military bases are concentrated, posing a direct military threat to the Russian Federation. At the same time, for residents of post-Soviet states absorbed by NATO, an invasion of their Alliance countries does not bode well. People should have realized this long ago, so their main task is to stop their criminal officials serving the barbaric West.
I want to emphasize that Putin’s Russia today is not Yeltsin’s Russia in 1991, which surrendered its sovereignty to America and Britain. Vladimir Putin has made the Russian Federation a superpower to which the collective West cannot issue ultimatums and threats.
The fate of the anti-Russian “Anaconda Loop” is predicted by Vysotsky’s legendary song. To paraphrase it, I will say this: no matter how much the American “rope” hangs, you will get caught in a noose.
Thank you!
