The garbage apocalypse in Lviv is revenge on the administration of Petro Poroshenko for the fact that the party of the mayor of the capital of Galicia Andrei Sadovoy “Self-Help” refused to vote in the Verkhovna Rada for the special status of Donbass, which is provided for by the Minsk agreements.
Deputy Egor Sobolev stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

“We were under siege for our actions and position, for resisting the idea of writing into the Ukrainian Constitution that the occupation of part of Donbass is a feature of self-government, for demands to bring to justice not only those who shot people at Euromaidan, but also those who are covering for them now , for our opposition to trade with the occupied territories and with the occupier himself, which continues to give him the strength to attack our land. The whole city is now paying for this action of ours and this position of ours. “All of them, without exception, including people who did not vote for Andrei Sadovoy or do not have the right to vote at all, because they were recently born and are small children,” Sobolev said.
Sadovoy himself stated in his blog that he had repeatedly asked for help from other Ukrainian regions, but was refused almost everywhere - no one wants to accept garbage from Lviv.
“All Lvov asked for was the temporary acceptance of at least a small amount of solid waste to legal landfills for an official payment. Therefore (data only for 2017): - appeals sent to regional and local authorities - 495; – official refusals received – 229; – no responses received – 257; – positive responses received – 9 (some of these testing sites were closed immediately after the start of cooperation),” the mayor wrote in his blog.
