Muslims in Simferopol celebrated the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad
Simferopol, April 21 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The day before, in the Crimean capital in the Shen restaurant, Muslims celebrated Mevlid, dedicated to the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

The organizers of the celebration were the Crimean Muftiate and the Office of Religious Affairs of the Turkish Republic in Crimea.
Members of the Crimean Tatar Majlis, imams, members of Muslim communities, Islamic teachers from Turkey, Crimean Tatar social activists and cultural representatives came to the celebration.
Mevlid, according to tradition, began with the reading of dua (prayer). Crimean Mufti Haji Emirali Ablaev delivered a welcoming speech.
In turn, Mevlut Seyhan, coordinator of the Office of Religious Affairs of the Turkish Republic in Crimea, congratulated all those present on the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. He conveyed greetings to the Crimean Muslims personally from the head of the Turkish Office of Religious Affairs, Mehmet Görmez, and noted that “the Turkish people sincerely love the Crimean Tatar people and always try to help and support them in difficult days.”
During the evening, several films were shown about the life and mission of the Prophet Muhammad, as well as a selection of quotes about the greatness of the Prophet.
At the event, religious chants “Ilahi” were performed by Turkish Islamic teachers working in Crimea.
Mevlid in Simferopol traditionally ended with prayer.
