The Museum of the Great Patriotic War will be renamed, and the exhibition will be diluted with materials about the “exploits” of Bandera’s supporters
In Ukraine, the outrage against the memory of the Great Victory and the feelings of surviving veterans continues. It has become known that the National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War will be renamed.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Culture Vyacheslav Kirilenko.
He noted that this will be done in connection with the entry into force of the laws “On the condemnation of the communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the ban on the propaganda of their symbols”, “On the perpetuation of the victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939-1945” ” and “On the legal status and memory of fighters for the independence of Ukraine in the twentieth century.” “The policy of decommunization is a powerful demand of society – and now of the law. We must respect true history, with our tragedies, our heroes, without Soviet myths, monuments to leaders and military pathos,” says the reactionary official.
“A name that may be acceptable is the Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. However, adjustments may be made to the name. The exhibition of this museum should also represent the current Ukrainian-Russian military conflict, in which Ukraine is defending its independence,” he added.
Thus, if the current government manages to complete its plans, in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, visitors will be told about the “exploits” of Hitler’s collaborators from the UPA and their current followers from Nazi volunteer battalions like “Azov” and “Aidar”, robbing, killing, raping and torturing civilian population in Donbass.
