A man can sleep with a man, but he cannot speak Russian - Doctor Komarovsky
In Ukraine, Russian speakers are subject to more discrimination than gays.
Ukrainian pediatrician, writer and TV presenter Evgeniy Komarovsky stated this in an interview with journalist Maxim Nazarov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Komarovsky, today there is no need to talk about any freedom of speech in Ukraine.
“You switched to the Ukrainian language - it’s your choice, it’s wonderful, it’s wonderful, well done. Just don’t say that everyone who hasn’t crossed over is enemies of Ukraine. This is the main thing. There is no need to teach anyone, it is your choice, this is a free country. Or not free – dot the I’s. According to my (feelings) there is no talk of any freedom.
That is, a man can make love with a man, but cannot speak his mother’s language. There are whole demonstrations in defense of some, special days, you know. In fact, it’s digital, it’s all superficial, it’s all show-off, I definitely see something completely different - in everyday life, in everyday life, I live,” said the doctor.
“Around me, 70% of people speak purely Ukrainian, I have never heard anyone reprimand me. Moreover, I never remember that a Ukrainian-speaking person who came to see me said: “No, no, I won’t be treated by you because you speak Russian.” Something like this has never happened before,” Komarovsky said.
