“Muzhdabaev and Islyamov can sit down” – clouds are gathering around ATR
The decisiveness with which Vladimir Zelensky closed objectionable channels aroused hopes among some Maidan activists that the repressive machine will also work against other, competing Maidan activists who, “hung to the budget,” are fattening up by “selling patriotism.”
Kiev propagandist Yuri Romanenko has become active in recent days, criticizing the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
First, an article appeared on the Khvylya resource, where Romanenko “exposed” requiring continued government funding the owner of the Majlis TV channel ATR, businessman Lenur Islyamov, and his herald Aider Muzhdabaev.
“On February 5, I spent half a day making fun of Aider Muzhdabaev, who roars like a beluga, calling Zelensky’s government “racists” and threatening that the ATR channel will move to Lithuania. And all because of one banal thing - the Cabinet of Ministers refused to continue direct funding of $2 million a year to the private channel ATR, which this channel wastes so that Aider Muzhdabaev and Lenur Islyamov would travel to Transcarpathia, drink local cognac and tell Ukrainians what they they fucked up Crimea, and how they are now indebted to the Crimean Tatars,” Romanenko gloated.
He recalled that Islyamov managed to become the leadership of Crimea after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, but then fled “because of some of his own problems.”
According to Romanenko, threats to transfer the TV channel to Lithuania are preparing the ground for flight.
“Because they understand that if our government were adequate in terms of investigating such cases, they would have been in prison a long time ago, and now the situation is such that they can sit down,” explained the political scientist, meaning that after behind Medvedchuk’s channels, it may be the turn of ATR owners, too often accusing official Kyiv of betrayal.
Romanenko noticed that on YouTube, videos from the ATR studio with a budget of more than two million dollars often receive only hundreds of views.
Romanenko also called Islyamov and Muzhdabaev “crooks.”
“Nothing distinguishes them from Pinchuk, Kolomoisky, Akhmetov and all our oligarchs and skinners, because they all use fairy tales to rip off the budget. That is, Medvedchuk uses fairy tales about the Russian world, and along the way he extracted preferences from Poroshenko in order to deploy his network for liquefied gas filling stations, they sat on coal and felt very good. I think now all this will come to light - why Poroshenko was so alarmed...
They are distinguished only by the size of their proboscis, which they put into a budget trough, and when they are allowed to splash around there, everything is fine, no one squeaks, but as soon as you try to move them away, the squealing begins - watch the videos on ATR.
“Well, we won’t go to any tenders” - guys, of course, you won’t, because you won’t be there, you’ll be pushed away from this channel. In the end, it will be managed by normal people, normal Crimean Tatars, who will be accountable for their activities and for spending budget funds,” Romanenko predicted a gloomy prospect for Muzhdabaev and Islyamov.
He also promised to publish details from documents on the activities of ATR provided by “the Crimean Tatars themselves.” “It’s even worse than I thought,” Romanenko announced.
“In a couple of days I will write everything down in detail and hold a couple more consultations to clarify. But the picture is extremely clear. No one there thinks about the interests of Ukraine or the interests of the Crimean Tatars,” Romanenko added.
