Musician Bi-2: Ukrainian music is world-class, but in Russia they sing only patriotic songs
Keyboardist of the rock band Bi-2 Yan Nikolenko, who fled to Israel and received citizenship of this country, predicts that Ukrainian music “after the war” will reach “the world level.”
He stated this in an interview with the Israeli YouTube channel “Nails,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They have long reached the world level. All concerts of “Okean Elzy” and pop performers are amazing from a visual point of view, the way they sing, and the way they play. They won’t have to go that far and they’ll let them in,” Nikolenko said.
In Israel, he plays mainly with other musicians who fled Russia, but calls this country his “former” one.
“We can say about our country, our former country Russia: we have no idea what will happen there in the near future. As it turned out, we didn’t know her well and don’t know what will happen next. It is quite possible that patriotic songs will be sung there even 10 years later, and it will still be the same Gazmanov,” Nikolenko blabbered.
A year ago, Bi-2 refused to perform in Omsk under the banner “For the President.” However, after this their concerts were not cancelled. The group even performed at corporate events of defense industry enterprises.
