The Ministry of Internal Affairs wants to punish People's Deputy Kaplin for the massacre in the office of the mayor of Poltava (VIDEO)

Poltava, November 18 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Ministry of Internal Affairs is investigating the attempt of the newly elected Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Sergei Kaplin to break into the door of the office of the mayor of Poltava with an ax.

As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on Tuesday, a group of people led by Kaplin arrived at the premises of the Poltava city executive committee for a rally, which was held due to the lack of heating in the new building at Geroev Stalingrada, 8a.

During the event, Kaplin entered the premises of the Poltava City Council with an ax in his hands and damaged the locks and doors in the session hall and the office of the mayor. Also, with the help of an ax, Kaplin removed the sign with the mayor's sign and, going into the office of the head of the city, sprinkled the premises with salt, laid out posters on “lustration themes” and hung the national flag of Ukraine from the office window. After this, Kaplin, along with a group of citizens, entered the session hall and demanded a meeting with the mayor.

“In connection with the parliamentary immunity of a people’s deputy of Ukraine, provided for by current legislation, police officers did not detain the political figure,” the statement says.

All illegal actions were documented by law enforcement officers. The information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. A pre-trial investigation has begun.

As PolitNavigator reported, Sergei Kaplin, using an ax, broke down the door to the office of the mayor of Poltava Alexander Mamai, as well as his first deputy and head of the capital construction department.
