The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has put a deputy of the Uzhgorod City Council on the wanted list
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has put Ivan Voloshin, a deputy of the Uzhgorod City Council, on the all-Ukrainian wanted list.
This is stated on the department's website.
It is noted that Voloshin has been hiding from pre-trial investigation authorities since May 23, 2019.
He is charged under Article 296 Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism, that is, gross violation of public order with the use of firearms).
It is also indicated that there is a court order to detain Voloshin.
According to Mukachevo. no, in 2016 Voloshin committed high-profile acts of hooliganism, as a result of which one person received gunshot wounds and another received intentional bodily harm. This happened on the territory of the local architectural monument “Crown” (in Uzhgorod). Victims in the proceedings have repeatedly stated that the investigation is being delayed and demanded that Prosecutor General Lutsenko respond to the inaction of law enforcement officers.
At the end of last year, the case was transferred to the capital to investigate. Uzhgorod activist Evgeniy Rakhimov, wounded in the shootout, then expressed hope for the completion of the investigation.
In parallel with the beginning of 2019, NAPC became interested in Voloshin’s person. They decided to check his declarations, which contained dubious information. In particular, the anti-corruption body was interested in data on Voloshin’s acquisition of more than 20 apartments at ultra-low prices, as well as the origin of his millions of dollars.
Previously, the media reported that Voloshin may be hiding in Miami (USA). He himself spoke on social networks about his stay in America.
