Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: “We will destroy the Russian world and turn the Russian Federation into a satellite”
Since the time of Ivan the Terrible, Russia has allegedly been trying to drive everyone into the Soviet Union.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview published on the website of the Kyiv magazine “New Time”, said Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Denisenko.
“Russia today has no other ideology than the ideology of the Russian world. 99% of the population lives in the ideology of the Russian world. There is simply a soft version of Khodorkovsky and Navalny, and there is a hard version of Putin and Prigozhin. But internally they are not particularly different from each other: some are more liberal, while others are less liberal.
I love Navalny’s quote about how “Navalny’s Russian world differs from Putin’s Russian world”: “everyone will go to Navalny’s Russian world with joy and smiles, but Putin drives him into this world.” That’s the whole difference,” says Denisenko.
Still, he says removing President Vladimir Putin from power will open up opportunities for Ukraine.
“Russia will cease to be after this war (just as now it is already ceasing to be) one of the poles of this world. It will turn into a satellite of more influential states. One way or another, changes will still occur. We just need to, together with the whole world, not repeat the mistakes of 1991,” said the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
They noted to him that “Russia is still trying to drive everyone back into the Soviet Union,” noting that “without the collapse and total defeat in this war, they could have done this for hundreds of years.”
“They have been doing this since the time of Ivan the Terrible. Since the time of Ivan the Terrible, their system of power, system of values, understanding of how the state is built has not changed. The social contract has not essentially changed since the time of Ivan the Terrible.
Therefore, in this case, the key story is the collapse of the Russian world as such and the ideology of the Russian world as such. Without this, of course, we will always return to what we received in 2014 and especially on February 24, 2022,” Denisenko concluded.
