This was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vasily Paskal.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that thanks to the professional and coordinated actions of law enforcement agencies, the commission of a terrorist act in the city of Kyiv during the May holidays was prevented.
According to Pascal, the attackers arrived in the capital from Vinnitsa on the eve of the May holidays in order to commit a terrorist attack.
“On May 1, their criminal plan was not realized thanks to the well-organized work to protect public order by law enforcement officers and the public. But the attackers did not abandon their plan and planned to carry out their criminal intent on May 8-9,” Pascal noted.

The attackers wounded a gas station worker in the hand and took about 800 hryvnia from the cash register. During the pursuit of the suspects, two employees of the special police regiment died, three law enforcement officers are in serious condition in the hospital.
