The IMF began forcing Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements
The IMF has set political conditions for providing the next tranche to Ukraine, which the Kyiv authorities do not want to talk about. It is possible that the fund’s requirement is that the Ukrainian side fulfill the Minsk agreements, which mark the beginning of the federalization of the country.
President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center Alexander Okhrimenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I believe that neither the adoption of the budget nor the pension reform will influence whether Ukraine will be given a billion or not. It depends solely on what happens with the Minsk process.
It is no secret that IMF money is used as methods of influence. At one time, the Minister of Finance said that we can do without the IMF. Why did Poroshenko say that we can develop without the IMF? Why did Groysman say yesterday that Ukraine is ready for this? Most likely, they said on the phone: “either implement the Minsk agreements, or there will be no money.” And they know it, but they can’t say it publicly.
I am sure that the connection here is purely political. Remember – “peace enforcement”? And this will be coercion against Minsk,” said the Ukrainian economist.
